COMUNICATO STAMPA DEL 23 FEBBRAIO 2011 LA REGINA DELLE SINGER ITALIANE DOMANI SERA ALLO SPASIMO La vocalist ligure Tiziana Ghiglioni, vincitrice del Premio Tenco nel ’94, è attesa domani sera, giovedì 24 febbraio, al Ridotto dello Spasimo di Palermo per la stagione concertistica della Fondazione The Brass Group di Palermo. Dopo Cristina Zavalloni, un’altra tra le maggiori esponenti del panorama jazz italiano. Per l’occasione Tiziana Ghiglioni sarà accompagnata da Riccardo Randisi al piano, Giuseppe Costa al contrabbasso e Giampaolo Terranova alla batteria. Il concerto inizia alle 21.30, l’ingresso costa 8 €, il ridotto 5,00 € (Senior Card e Allievi Scuola Popolare di Musica) . NOTE BIOGRAFICHE. In the early '80s he began his career as a jazz vocalist and band leader immediately obtaining the attention of audiences and critics alike thanks to the reviews of the journalist and historian of jazz Arrigo Polillo commenting very positively to its first public performances is his first disc ("Lonely Woman" in 1981), recorded with some emerging young Leveratto including Piero and Luigi Bonafede. The reception of the first disc is such that already in the second recording ("Sounds of Love" in 1983) the singer is joined by internationally renowned musicians such as Kenny Drew on piano and Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen on bass. In subsequent years, Tiziana Ghiglioni says his leading role in the Italian jazz scene working with some of the best known national jazz musicians (including Luca Flores, Enrico Pieranunzi, Paolo Fresu, Franco D'Andrea, Enrico Rava and Gianluigi Trovesi) and international (including Chet Baker, Steve Lacy, Mal Waldron, Paul Bley and Lee Konitz). This interest is reflected in the vanguard, among others, from the album "SONB" of 1992, which earned her second place in the ranking of the best albums of rivistaMusica Jazz and the nickname "First Lady" of Italian jazz (for by the then editor of Pino Candini). Among the more recent experiments we can cite the record "Rotella Variations", signed together with the violinist Emanuele Parrini: an ambitious attempt to transport in musica le suggestioni dell'artista contemporaneo Mimmo Rotella. Nel 2009 è stata Presidente di Commissione Artistica della 3° edizione degli Italian Jazz Awards - Luca Flores. È titolare della cattedra di canto jazz presso il conservatorio di Rovigo. Come già detto, nel 1994 ha vinto il premio Tenco per il disco "Tiziana Ghiglioni canta Luigi Tenco" nel quale rivisita in chiave jazz alcune canzoni del celebre cantautore genovese. Nel 2005 ha ricevuto il premio "Iseo". Nel 2007 e 2010 ha ricevuto due nominations come Best Jazz Singer agli Italian Jazz Awards - Luca Flores. Venerdì 25, dalle 15.00 alle 19.00, Tiziana Ghiglioni terrà una master class di canto che avrà luogo sempre presso il Complesso Monumentale dello Spasimo.
