After the referendum, cage Italy
With the announcement yesterday that Fiat and Chrysler will merge in the next two or three years in a company having its operations center in the U.S., Sergio Marchionne has confirmed what all sensible people already know, and too many bad faith in pretending to ignore. Too bad it has not declared before the referendum on the Mirafiori, right? And who knows what will now trade unionist Bonanni, Minister Sacconi, il governatore Cota, il sindaco Chiamparino… tutti lì proni a chiedere i sacrifici dei lavoratori perchè altrimenti dove l’andavamo a trovare un’altra multinazionale basata a Torino e disposta a investire in Italia?
Marchionne non ha più motivo di nascondere le sue intenzioni, anzi, probabilmente è ancora incerto se gli convegna davvero costruire i nuovi impianti nel nostro paese o piuttosto accelerare una dismissione d’impegno. E’ la politica italiana che si becca in faccia l’ennesimo marameo, confermando una subalternità culturale e un “tirare alla giornata” che fanno paura.
