AN EVENING NOT TO CONVENTIONAL BRASS IS A TRIO OF YOUNG PIANIST Roberto Bruschi The plan of the young Robert Brusca is the subject of tomorrow's concert March 11 at 21.30 Reduced to Spasimo of Palermo for the winter season of the Foundation The Brass Group. Brusca, along with Bernardo Viviano (guitar) and Emanuel Prota (drums) suggests that the Unconventional Way has several contemporary genres replicated in a personal and original, creating an explosive mixture of live echoes, coming from the past, new music. The group seeks a mix of acoustic and electric sounds (vintage and otherwise) that are mixed up their own compositions or standard themes of jazz tradition, revisited in alternative interpretations of music that allow musicians to give value to their experiences. It 's a good opportunity to listen to one of a number of musicians from Sicily, who are taking place outside of their homeland. MANUEL PROTA Manuel was born into a musical family in Modena on August 25, 1988 and grew up listening to music and learning to appreciate it, thanks to his parents and his sisters. His father is a good guitarist and drummer and was the first to convey the passion for the drums. Manuel began playing at age nine, after finding his home in the garage of old sticks that he used his father as a young man and an old battery pack from the study. From nine to twelve years until his drum teacher is his father, until in 2000 he began to receive private lessons e ad avere le sue prime esperienze musicali con gruppi rock della sua città. Dal 2001 al 2004 collabora ai seminari estivi sulla musica gospel in cui ha la possibilità' di suonare assieme a cantanti conosciuti in quell'ambiente come Giorgio Ammirabile, Davide Tatriele, Lidia Genta, Leo & Antonella Cicerale e alcuni cantanti londinesi come Junior Robinson, Meshach Broderick e Sharleen Linton. Nel 2001 collabora con Loris Lazzarini, un chitarrista di Modena, con il quale nel 2002 realizza un cd intitolato "Inside Out". Nel 2003 ha la possibilità di partecipare a seminari e clinic di batteristi come Gregg Bissonette, Thomas Lang, Walfredo Reyes, Nick D'Virgilio, Christian Meyer. Dal 2002 al 2006 frequenta la scuola di batteria "CSBM" di Modena con gli insegnanti Andrea Burani ed Emilio Veneziano che lo hanno formato musicalmente nella musica rock, funk, jazz e latin. Nel luglio del 2006 partecipa, con un gruppo pop/rock di Modena con cui collabora ("Labanda"), al concorso "Musicamente" per gruppi emergenti in cui vince il secondo premio e 15 ore in studio di registrazione per la realizzazione di una demo. Dal 2004 è impegnato in un musical insieme ad altri musicisti e cantanti di Modena, Piacenza e Mantova con cui ha realizzato un CD e un DVD (per informazioni visitare "www.leventodellastoria.it"). Nell’agosto del 2006 frequenta i corsi senesi di musica jazz (con i maestri di batteria Ettore Fioravanti, Francesco Petreni, Massimo Manzi, Fabrizio Sferra) dove ha l'opportunità di suonare assieme a ottimi musicisti e soprattutto con il trombettista Marco Tamburini, da cui riceve tanti incoraggiamenti e preziosi consigli. Dal 2007 suona nella provincia di Modena con un trio jazz (“The Brave jazz trio”) e collabora con un cantante jazz di Modena (Maurizio Toffanetti) e frequenta il conservatorio a livello universitario di musica jazz di Bologna. Dal 2008 suona con una band pop/rock di Bologna ("Lost & Found") e insegna batteria e percussioni presso un centro giovani di Bologna (MYSPACE YFC). Comincia anche a insegnare batteria presso la scuola di musica "Alessandro Po" di Modena. (www.studiomusicale.it)
